The Torbay area is the holiday region of South Devon, commonly referred to as 'The English Riviera' containing the beautiful towns of Torquay, Brixham and Paignton.

Paignton is a lively seaside resort with long sandy beaches and Pier.  The town is just 15-20 minutes walk from Braeside Mews, passing the harbour as you go, which has regular boat trips to nearby Torquay, Brixham or Dartmouth.

There is a Multiplex Cinema and Crazy Golf on the seafront with Fairs, Circus and other family entertainment being held during the peak holiday season.

You will also find Paignton Zoo home to gorillas, giraffes, lions, tigers and rhinos to name a few.

Torquay

Torquay is set in the very heart of the English Riviera on the South Devon coast. It is famous for its sandy beaches, family attractions and genteel Victorian appearance, with events and festivals going on all year round.

Living Coasts here is an award winning coastal zoo being home to marine life from around the world as well as Devon seals and otters.

To fully appreciate the whole of Torquay you can ride on the English Riviera Wheel or take a boat trip around the bay.

Brixham

Famous for fishing, art and colourful houses lining the harbour, Brixham is one of the busiest fishing ports in the UK and is home to some of the finest seafood.

The town is a great destination for art lovers and has a great range of art galleries featuring local artists as well as showcasing visiting installations. On the Strand, you’ll even have the opportunity to see artists working.

Brixham also boasts a museum and is the home of the Golden Hind replica, a recreation of Sir Francis Drake’s flagship.
